This ten-part series offers capacity building for cross-curricular learning located in school gardens. Each session will unpack systemic barriers alongside practical and cost-effective solutions that are scaffolded for sustainability. Within a community of practice we will review timely month by month tasks in the garden, a new gardening skill, as well as reveal related curricular connections connected to seasonality. Hands on and experiential learning is emphasized, as well as sharing circles to grow our collective knowledge with place-specific gardening skills. This series is beneficial for schools and districts who wish to locate their curriculum in school gardens, and are seeking effective mentorship to start or expand their garden as a shared space of learning.
