The teacher tool at outsideplay.org is one of three resources available to support outdoor play and learning. The framework for the teacher tool emerged from my PhD dissertation project. The process of building the tool is published in the Canadian Journal of Action Research. Findings from this research include descriptions of teachers’ participation in a community of practice and outlines the collective action of building the framework for the teacher.outsideplay.org website. Access publications on my website here and buy the book which is a companion text for the teacher tool here.
Mentorship themes identified as essential for building OPAL capacity are identified in this manuscript and include: (1) understanding OPAL in schools; (2) Getting started with OPAL; (3) Emergent Learning Outdoors; and (4) OPAL Assessment
