This is a personal blog written and edited by Megan Zeni. My readers are primarily parents and teachers from all over the globe, who work with and care for children. As a community, we value the importance of unstructured and creative, imaginative nature play. Outdoor learning,  outdoor classrooms, playful learning, risky play, gardening with kids, and tips on organizing family life are addressed on this blog.

Speaking & Professional Development

I am a professional teacher certified to teach in the provinces of British Columbia and Ontario. I have over 20 years of classroom experience teaching grades K-7 in both public and private schools. I currently teach in an outdoor classroom and school garden. I hold degrees from Simon Fraser University (B.A.), the University of British Columbia (B.Ed.), and from OISE at the University of Toronto (M.Ed).

I am currently in my third year of doctoral studies working towards a PhD in curriculum and pedagogy at the University of British Columbia in the Faculty of Education.
