Cross-Curricular Learning In Your School Garden/ Outdoor Classroom

In this workshop we’re digging into curricular ideas and competencies to explore the multitude of opportunities for meaningful, hands on learning in your own school-yard.

Participants will broaden their understanding of how to develop and support curricular learning in a garden classroom. Specific examples of cross-curricular learning will be shared, along with inspiring stories of student engagement, diversity and inclusion. Just about anything can be taught in a garden… this workshop will explore how you can support happier, healthier and more motivating academic learning outdoors! This workshop is generally best suited for school communities who are beginning to explore how to facilitate outdoor play and learning during instructional time.
